Ground quakes, wind blows, and trees talk whenever connecting with another helper, the blue hue and red smears the large rising moon as reflecting on grateful motivation midweek. Whether it’s been ribbon cutting a $ multimillion plaza- songs and flowers in the air vendor bells, laughter and horse clomping… recycling/composting/upcycling materials covered in castings and green energy… swapping seeds and warm soil stories with dirt caked overalls.. neighbour market commerce… running/playing outdoors and the salty accountability and gritty laughter thereafter… witnessing shiny jewlery made from tarnished hands… or gifting that extra $2 bill to your favourite curbside… We’ve been having more than interactions and commerce.
This season draws colder and evenings longer, time to sit with what has been sewn. Thank you change makers, chinampa and milpa builders.
Opportunities abound and OKC is spreading and sprawling. MAPS and Bonds, and many billions of laid plans.
Radical is replacing your lawn, trading a neighbours eggs for tree trimming. For urban farmers rebellion is nearly unsurmountable and still undeniable… Timeless wisdom of simple soil inputs, growing nourishment for maturing bodies, and withering completing the cycle to begin again. Be a little accountable to Earth, it provides us a lot. Is your kind of weird and crazy resonating with learning¿ Your food affects your mind and how you show up to the community. Will your grandkids depend on data centers for lunch.. do they know when food is ripe before the next iPhone release? Our collaborators care about generations beyond, what you eat is what you are made of, districts engaging their neighbours. The intersections of properties, plants, and people are a part of our Native Renewal.

MVSKOKE Word of the Day: ENKA (en-kah) – interj. yes; okay; you’re welcome. Ex. ENKA (en-kah). (Okay.)

The significance of this day
Day Ollin (Movement, known as Caban in Maya) is governed by Xolotl as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived.
The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Atl (Water) is ruled by Chalchihuihtotolin. These are 13 days of instability and unexpected events, of accidents and coincidences: these are good days to gamble a little on a long-shot; bad days to gamble a lot on a sure thing. Every day rollercoasters between all-good and all-bad, between rapture and terror. This trecena advises the priest-warrior to perfect the art of shapeshifting: only by mimicking the nature of water do we become an agent of change rather than a target of it. The purified heart casts no reflection in the smoking mirror.
