This weekend was a glimpse into the contagious holiday joy that communities and families hold. The new C25 Plaza, despite the biting cold, there was children’s laughter, tacos and tamales wafting, dogs sniffing in sweaters and dragging humans with a leading nose, shuffling feet and the whipping thud and inevitable treat crashes of piñatas, Santa wishes made, finale being the Posada a singing chorus into the setting evening in remembrance of the gift of life and those who show up for you.
As solstice and holidays approach, setting intentions in mind- what have you learned or achieved this year? Did you enjoy the flourishing of the energies you sewn? Can you be 1% improved from previous version? Have you fed your mind and body the right nutrients and environmentals to bloom ? Are you dormant stratifying and eager to do something?
Grateful for artists and local commerce as winter solstice and families gathering for holidays.

MVSKOKE Word of the Day: ENRVMKE (en-thluhm-ge) – adj. uncovered; open. Ex. ENRVMKET E (en-thluhm-get-e)? (Is it open?)

The significance of this day
Day Ehecatl (Wind, known as Ik in Maya) is governed by Quetzalcoatl as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. Ehecatl is a bad day for working with others. Its influences are inconstant and vain. A good day to root out bad habits.
The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Ehecatl (Wind) is ruled by Chantico. The 13 days of this trecena are governed by the elemental intent of the divine Whirlwind: to create chaos out of order. Order and reason outlive their purpose and must be replaced by the potential for new, unexpected, unpredictable, change. It is precisely in the heart of order that the lightningbolt strikes. These are 13 days of instability and insecurity. The warrior prefers to have no relationships if the only alternative is to have bad relationships: thievery abounds and no treasure of the heart is safe. These are good days to be in the vanguard; bad days to be encamped behind the front.
