Translation: “Sacred Day”. In the traditional sense, it is the descriptive term for the annual day culminating the green corn ceremony, the Mvskoke New Year, or NETTV-CAKO RAKKO (Big Sacred Day). The term was adapted into Christianity to denote their most sacred day, Christmas.
