I am thankful for those whom continue to share support and appreciation for my blog and community efforts.

Listening to Loitering and Unarmed, a podcast centering around an East Cleveland revitalization entrepreneurship incubator and district wide business collaborative. This is very much in the spirit of what we are aiming to achieve. Creating an equilibrated and enlightened service to community neighbours. Incorporating play and traditional ecological knowledge to attract power and agency towards health and land sovereignty. I’m not sure the exact methodology to manifest the same gifts as nature, only hat through incremental wisdom sharing and encouraging courageous trust I can extend grace and illicit better being and stumble upward. The podcast feature an interesting structure combing forprofit and larger local organizations to preserve and restore/repurpose a very impoverished and redlined industrial area- much like the local districts surrounding downtown OKC.

The significance of this day
Day Cuauhtli (Eagle, known as Men in Maya) is governed by Xipe Totec, God of Seedtime, as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. Cuauhtli is a day of fighting for freedom and equality. It is a day of the Warriors of Huitzilopochtli, those who sacrifice their lives willingly to keep the present age, the Fifth Sol, moving. It is a good day for action, a bad day for reflection. A good day for invoking the gods, a bad day for ignoring them.

The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Acatl (Reed) is ruled by Chalchihuitlicue, goddess of lakes, rivers and seas, goddess of horizontal waters. This trecena signifies the transitory nature of all that we may gain in life: it is a reminder to view success and failure, gain and loss, as matters of fate and not as matters of personal worth. The elementals do not reward nor punishment our efforts but, rather, construct the maze within which we might perfect our hearts. The 13 days of this trecena reveal our hearts to us, based on whether we have decided to live within the house of shadows or to seek the secret of happiness elsewhere. These are good days to travel to new places; bad days to hide in fear.
